Converting files from text to HTMLThe HTML Button lets you convert text files to HTML, with the option of applying a style to the new HTML file.Just select the text file (filename.txt) you wish to convert in the file box using your mouse, then press the Text->HTML Button. The information that goes in the New File Name field is the name of new HTML file. WebSpinner will automatically add the .html extension to the name of the text file you are converting, so you don't have to edit this field unless you want a completely different file name. Special Note: If you have set WebSpinner to update your index.html files for you (see the page on the PREFS Button for details on how to do this). Additional questions prompt you as to whether or not you want WebSpinner's automatic update to your index.html file. If you say yes, then you need to enter a Menu Title to be used as the hypertext link on the index.html file and if you desire, a Description to appear next to this link. Note: Even if you have your preferences set for Web Spinner to prompt you, these additional options will only appear when you are working in a directory with an index.html file. You are asked if a converted file already exists, would you like to use its format setting. Pay attention to this question only if a file already exists with the new filename. If it does, then this question gives you the choice of using the information provided earlier in the form as the new file's information, or of using the information that already exists for the file with the same new name. This option can be useful when you converted the file once, made a change to the text version, and then wish to convert the file again. Next, you are asked if you want WebSpinner to delete the original text file. Now make sure all the fields are entered correctly and completely. Click the Convert File button to convert the file to HTML. After WebSpinner converts all files, you will be returned to the main screen with an updated file box and a message saying the file was converted. You can then continue your work.
